The dairy which created this organic butter is located as its name suggests, in the small town of Montsûrs in the Mayenne french department. The dairy was founded in 1925 by Mr. Emile Salle. After being taken over by Roger-Marc Martin, his son-in-law, today the firm is still managed by the descendants of the family.This dairy has been a pioneer as since the early 80s, it was decided to venture into organic cheese, choice rather audacious at this time.To this day the cheese is a reference for its organic cheese but also for its butter.

It’s a salted butter caramel , with some crushed walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds added to it. It’s meltingly soft, delicious and extremely heartwarming.
